What is Vidivet?
Vidivet is a smartphone or tablet app that allows you to get advice from a veterinary surgeon at any time of the day or night. Ask any question through text, video, or adding a photo, and a real vet will get back to you with a video answer.
Think of it a bit like NHS 111, if you're not sure what to do for the best when your pet is sick, ask Vidivet and they will advise on what to do. They may offer home care advice if needed, or they may let you know if you need to see your own vet, and how urgent it might be.
Do I have to pay?
No, we are providing Vidivet free of charge to all of our registered clients. As part of our ongoing commitment to making veterinary care accessible for everyone, this gives you, our clients, another way to get advice when you need it.
When should I use Vidivet?
You can use Vidivet any time you have a concern about your pets health, or you want some advice on how to care for them. This could be the middle of the night, or during the day, Vidivet is available for our clients at any time. Nothing is too small or too silly, some examples may be:
- Your pet is sick but you don't know if they need a vet
- You're not sure if you have an emergency
- You want advice on flea or worm treatment
- You want advice on feeding
- You need advice for puppy or kitten care
- Your pet has a behaviour issue
- ...and much much more
How do I access Vidivet?
Use the button below to activate your Vidivet account in less than a minute. Once your account is activated, you will be prompted to download the app from the App store or Play store. Once installed, login and ask - it's as simple as that!
Can Vidivet prescribe medication?
No, while all the Vidivets are real UK registered veterinary surgeons, they cannot replace your own vet giving your pet a full examination in order to prescribe medictaion. They will triage your concerns and give pet care advice, and if needed, they will directed you to go to your practice in a suitable timeframe.
