I came to Riverside in 2021 after working in the fish department of a pet shop and I really enjoyed working with both people and animals. When I saw the job at Riverside I thought this would be great to give me a wider range of animal interactions and a new challenge whilst maintining a public facing role. I really enjoy seeing different animals every day and seeing them get better when they are poorly.
I have always been interested in working with animals in some way. I have previously completed a BTEC followed by a BSc in Animal Management. I am now enjoying learning all the new information I need to be a veterinary receptionist. I have joined the British Veterinary Receptionists Association and have completed the Bronze training course, I am now working towards the Silver level.
I have several pets at home. I have 2 cats, a gecko and lots of fish, and I also take care of my Mum's dog regularly, but I am running out of space so I think I need to move house so that I can fit more animals into my life!
Apart from looking after my animals, which takes up quite a bit of my time, I quite like the quiet life enjoying a good book and spending time looking after my garden.
