Adelle Bryon FdSc RVN
I was studying Vet Nursing at Usk College and I came to Riverside in September of 2020 for my work placement. It was much harder to find placements during the COVID lockdown so I was really grateful to get a place that I could complete all the practical hours I needed to sit my exams. I was then very pleased to be asked to stay on as a permanent member of staff after my placement finished as I had fallen in love with the work environment and the ethos of the practice. I have now passed all my exams and my OSCE's (practical exams) and I am now very proud to call myself a qualified RVN.
Being a vet nurse is my dream job. I've done various things in the past but nothing is as rewarding as this job. I love having the opportunity to care for each patient and client as an individual. I think it's really important to have the time and freedom get to know and understand them.
I have 2 horses and 2 dogs to look after at home, as well as my daughter. I love horse riding and mountain walking when I get the chance. And the dogs are great for getting us out and adventuring. I think I would be a hamster if I were an animal because I am quite nocturnal but when I'm awake I am very active and I always have too many things to do, but that's what makes life fun!
